As I signed on to Driven Ministries this morning I note there are now 97 members, many of whom I personally welcomed as I was coming here every day for the longest time. Then, it seems, my life got busy with other endeavors and, just like so many of us do during stages in our lives putting God on the "back burner", I put this site on the "back burner". Although I thought about the site every day as I start my day with prayer and devotions, I was not taking that extra step of signing in to see who may have joined. Shame on me!

So, to each and every one of you who are members here as of August 21, 2010 at 9:45 Eastern Time, welcome. Please spread the word about this site, about the efforts of Free Pennington and his Driven Ministries Team to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to anyone and everyone, especially to those in racing.

It is my intention to check in here every morning, reflect on the scripture for the day, and to welcome new members and speak with any member on line. Spread the word and join me.

Daily Manna

Daily Manna from the Net for Saturday, May 18, 2013 [Psalm 17:1-8]

A prayer of David. Hear me, LORD, my plea is just; listen to my cry. Hear my prayer--it does not rise from deceitful lips. Let my vindication come from you; may your eyes see what is right. Though you probe my heart, though you examine me at night and test me, you will find that I have planned no evil; my mouth has not transgressed. Though people tried to bribe me, I have kept myself from the ways of the violent through what your lips have commanded. My steps have held to your paths; my feet have not stumbled. I call on you, my God, for you will answer me; turn your ear to me and hear my prayer. Show me the wonders of your great love, you who save by your right hand those who take refuge in you from their foes. Keep me as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings NIV Listen

1 And it came to pass, that, as the people pressed upon him to hear the word of God, he stood by the lake of Gennesaret, 2 And saw two ships standing by the lake: but the fishermen were gone out of them, and were washing their nets. 3 And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon's, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship.

1 And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, 2 Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered. 3 And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread.

Psalms 53
1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good. 2 God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God. 3 Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
